my other job...or hobby...

Okay, so I love selling stuff. Besides houses, I sell furniture. On Craig's List. For one reason or another I keep ending up with a bunch of stuff around Christmastime. It works out nicely. Last year I paid for our Christmas presents with Craig's List money. This year, a client had a bunch of furniture to get rid of. I bought it for cheap and now am selling it piece by piece. I have 2 dining sets, 2 couches, 4 bookcases, 2 desks, lots of lamps, chairs, and much more. I do love it. Part of the fun is meeting all the people that come shop. Anyone need some stuff?

I'm loving this whole post to blog directly from Picasa...if only I could figure out how to do that with more than 1 photo.
Macy is Miss Dress-up girl...every day, all day, must wear a pretty dress. She turned two the other day. I will post pics of that later!

Remember the pic of the white wicker bench??? Well I still haven't finished painting it...the weather is a bit cold for that right now, but I did find a super deal on cushions...so I thought I would post the progress!

Lots going on around here and I'm SO behind on my blogs. One thing that happened is that I turned another year older! It hasn't bothered me much until a lady somewhere asked me how old I was...I nearly couldn't say it..."thirty.....two" sigh.

My tree has been up since a week before Thanksgiving!!! I LOVE it. Jon made the manger that sits beneath it. Baby Jesus is laying there with a care bear blanket on him :). Hope you are all enjoying this festive (and freezing) season!

Turkey Trot

Thanksgiving Day. Turkey Trot. Easton and Me. 5K or 3.1 miles.
It was his first big road race. He did so well...ran most of it. I ran his pace and we finished together in 38 minutes. Earlier in the week Easton and I ran 3 practice miles, then he had a "Gobble Wobble" half mile race at school, so by the time the turkey trot was over, he was a bit exhausted. When we crossed the finish line...he ran ahead and crossed first...and told everyone that he beat his mama. ;) Not bad for an 8, soon to be 9 year old.
